Our Story
Once, I wasn’t very social. My circle was small, and I often stayed home. During a period of self-isolation, I met Pudding—a lively, adorable Corgi. Over five years, he quietly changed me, making me more outgoing and brave. Then, an accident took my little Pudding away. Returning to an empty home, surrounded by what he left behind, memories surged in.
By chance, I came across wool-felt pets on social media and ordered one. I had already seen the finished photos, but the moment I opened the package, I felt Pudding’s warmth again—as if he had returned to my arms. Only then did I truly understand: pets may be just a part of our lives, yet they bring boundless joy and memories, like our children. I wanted to share this feeling with everyone who has known loss.
Because of Pudding, I connected with artisans who love animals as deeply as we do. We believe every one-of-a-kind wool-felt pet is a vessel of love, carrying warmth, care, respect, and gratitude. We offer both standard and custom pieces—dogs, cats, rabbits, foxes, even fantastical creatures—all to preserve precious memories.
We firmly believe each custom pet marks the beginning of a story. It can be a special gift that carries profound emotions, or become a true member of the family, accompanying us forever. Every wool-felt piece is a promise: with craftsmanship and heart, we will create a unique, irreplaceable treasure.
May our creations bring warmth and happiness to families around the world. We will remain true to our original intent—using love and creativity to record the stories between every family and their pets.
Lumen & Memory: Our Origin
Every pet we miss is a singular soul: the angle of its head tilt, the way its tail curls when it sleeps, the gentle lift of its ears as it runs to you. We choose the slowest way to hold onto these fleeting moments.
Lumen & Memory was born from a simple idea: to bring handcraft back to the heart of remembrance. We work with wool felt and stone sculpture because they absorb an artisan’s time and devotion, lingering like memory itself.
Each piece undergoes dozens—sometimes hundreds—of steps: from sketching proportions and building the armature, to aligning fur direction, layering forms, refining expressions, and fixing the tiniest details. We would rather let time slow down than compromise on texture and feel. This path is demanding—and inevitably long.
In creation, we patiently confirm every habitual movement, every minute texture—because you know “them” better than anyone. When we say “restore,” we do not pursue a photo-perfect copy; we place their soul into the work.
We don’t make trash, because remembrance should never be wasted. If you seek only speed and a low price, we may not be the right fit. But if you are willing to wait, we will answer your love with our craft. We do not mass-produce, cut corners, or chase algorithms. We exist to restore the “one” in your heart. If a piece is not worthy of being treasured, we would rather not make it.
We focus on true handcraft and meticulous customization. Please don’t mind the noise outside—we preserve the most original methods. We may not be great at selling, but we will do our craft to the highest standard.
